The Desert Winds of Change was performed, mixed and recorded live exactly as you hear it here on August 1, 2023 at my monthly Ambient Lounge series in Tucson AZ.
Everything felt in alignment this evening, the inspiration was flowing as I had just built up this new portable large formate Synthesizer.com-Moon modular based Analog Modular system. I had worked up the basic elements for the set a few days before the show and was mindful to not play out the special feeling that was building towards the performance.

As the sequencer portion of the set emerged the feeling was like riding the perfect wave that kept a steady, never peaking momentum, ebbing and flowing with a graceful weightlessness.

Also in the development of the piece I was feeling the spirit of Klaus Schulze with me especially in the building of the first movement of the sequence piece.
This was recorded on August 1, Klaus's birthday is August 4. Without question a dedication to Klaus's memory, legacy and inspiration to me is vital here.

The morning after this concert I received an email out of the blue from Thorsten Quaeschning of Tangerine Dream inviting me to play with them at their Tucson concert on September 17th…

I am grateful for your ongoing support and to be able to share these special life moments as they occur within the community here.
